In need of Covering A place in Him

YHWH is One Yeshua is Lord!

And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a cleft of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen. (Exodus 33:17-23)

And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; (Matthew 27:51)

The book of Exodus or  in the Jewish tradition “sh’mot” meaning names, is broken into four sections:(1) the end of their slavery, the beginning of liberation, and the learning of His name; (2) the journey to the Sinai region where they were to meet YHWH and experience his miraculous deliverance; (3) receive his covenants and promises and :(4) learn how to worship Him.  From our reading in the 33rd chapter of Exodus we find Moshe and YHWH having a conversation. The scripture says, “And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend.  (Exodus 33:11a)”.  Moshe found favor in the eyes of the Most High, enough that he talked with Moshe, that’s favor to the highest degree but Moshe had a great task to perform.  In the text Moshe is asking for a great act of favor from the Lord, to see him face to face and YHWH is granting that favor, telling him how he was going to do it. When the Lord came down to meet Moshe he covered him with his hand to protect him because no flesh can see YHWH and live.  He also told Moshe “ I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy”. The Lord then proceeded to speak to Moshe for 40 days and nights giving him full knowledge of his Laws and statutes.  YHWH  is the law giver and the Judge.  We must understand that to keep the favor that YHWH has given us, unmerited favor, we must stay under the covering that Yeshua has provided.  We must live by the “Perfect Law of liberty” that Yeshua gave us ,“But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. (James 1:25)".  Knowing that he delivered us from the law of sin and death, from bondage into the marvelous light which is his presence in the Holy Spirit we must be courageous in soul winning, comforting and teaching others about the goodness of the Lord.  We may go through trials, tribulations and temptations as we strive for spiritual maturity but we are assured that he will cover, protect and be jealous for us if we walk in his statutes and commandments.

Moshe had direct access to the Father. The Apostle Matthew tells us that when Yeshua took his last breath, no one took it from him, he had power to lay his life down and to take it up again, there was a great earthquake and the veil of the Temple was torn from top to bottom.  There were two veils in the Temple, one at the entrance of the Temple and one at the entrance of the Holy of the Holies where the Ark of the Covenant resided. The rending  of the veil represents a reconciling of Man to the Father because in his sinless life on earth and obedience to the will of YHWH Yeshua  fulfilled the Law of ordinances therefore appeasing YHWH and making peace giving  the repentant heart of Jews and Gentiles access directly to the throne of grace through the Holy Spirit.

The Word tells us to be vigilant in our travelings to the promised land, eternal life.  We have gone from being under the bondage of sin to a journey of life in the Spirit.  We are to watch and pray because our enemy the devil is seeking to destroy us just because we are human and have the potential to live with YHWH forever.  We must be careful to stay covered and in the hand of The Lord at all times.  The trouble comes when we get out from under the protection either by sin and deception. There are many believers who lean to their own understanding, traditions of men and not on the Comforter who is our guide on this journey. The Holy Spirit is YHWH with us. He has us, we don’t have him. He leads us like The Father led the Israelite in the wilderness.  When we doubt, grumble, complain or go in our own way and strength we find ourselves in trouble and crying for help when the help is already there.  Sin exposes you to the enemy.  The enemy is a hacker, he uses the Trojan horse method hijacking the disobedient to destroy their faith.  Be careful not to get caught in the trap of the enemy. The scripture tell us to be sure about our salvation. Salvation is nothing to guess about.  It’s not something you should guess or fake your way through, the Word of YHWH will not fail.   Church going is not enough.  The enemy doesn’t mind you going to Church if you are not filled with the Holy Spirit and if you are filled but don’t win souls and only love yourselfand yours.  He doesn’t mind you being wealthy if you think gain is godliness and as long as you keep it to yourself and look down on others because they don’t have as many material things that you have.  He doesn’t mind if your Church is perfect, has thousands of members, your choir sings good, but you don’t sing to the Glory of YHWH.  He doesn’t mind that you have a sound order of service, in a large organization and have conventions and breakout sessions as long as no souls get saved.  The Lord wants us hid in the cleft of the Rock and he won’t give his glory to another.

The Lord is our Captain, he sends those who are established and equipped  to do his will.  He shows us his Glory when we hide ourselves in him.  When you are in him nothing else matters.  The cares of life won’t entangle you because he takes care of those things.  Because Yeshua gave his life, we give ours to him.  There is much more on the other side of this life but he still abundantly cares for the faithful.  If you find yourself on the other side of victory, do a self examination.  We are required to do that.  “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? (II Corinthians 13:5).”  A test is not a judgment but it’s an assessment to see where you are.  The measuring apparatus is the Word of YHWH and not your own understanding, from your perspective or persuasion.  The time is far spent, everything is not acceptable to YHWH. He does not understand sin and straddling the fence.  When Moshe came down form the mountain the first time, he asked “who is on the Lords side?”  Those who chose otherwise perished. Moshe not only got what he wanted, to see the Glory of YHWH, he interceded for his people.  The Holy Spirit is our intercessor, let him direct your path to the promised land.  He will teach you how to pray, how to win souls and how to please the Father. YHWH  is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.  He rewards faithfulness, he rewards perseverance.  He rewards obedience to his word.  He rewards the winner of souls.  He rewards the worshiper who has a pure spirit and the praiser who has pure heart. Let YHWH put you in a place by Him and you will be like that tree planted by the rivers of water and everything you do will prosper. That’s a promise.
