What's in your heart

For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. ¶ And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? (Luke 6:43-46)

The heart is the center on one’s emotional and spiritual being, where the mind and imagination reside. It is also the treasure chest of of a person’s values.  The heart is a repository for love hate, kindness, drunkenness,  which includes getting high and many other things including the Word of YHWH which must be received,  planted , cultivated and guarded to keep the enemy from taking it away. (The parable of the sower) The Holy Spirit through the Prophet Jeremiah says this “¶ The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (Jeremiah 17:9)”.  Speaking of the unregenerate heart. Man cannot know YHWH with this kind of heart but by the grace of YHWH  he promised and fulfilled his promise to fix the broken heart through His love in His  son Yeshua Ha Mashiach.  When your heart is purified through repentance and obedience to the Word of YHWH He has promised that He will fill you with all good things in the Holy Spirit..   Yeshua  has said that in the last days people will have a lack of love, corrupted hearts.  “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. (Matthew 24:12)”.  The Holy Spirit through Paul says it this way “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (II Timothy 3:1-5)”.  That is overtly apparent in this present time.  Notice that in the text he includes  a lack of love of  YHWH and for others, and is getting progressively worse.  These are the signs of the times.  Fruits of love are selflessness faith and respect for others.  Respect is something you give not something someone has to earn unless they show little respect for themselves and others.  It is clear  that in this epoch selfishness and  disrespect for others has permeated throughout society.  The sin aspect is always forward and intentional it is never passive just as obedience to YHWH has to be willful yet fulfilling bringing  more fruit to the table.  These days people want to be loved, respected, heard and honored but don’t want to give those things.  Whatever you sow, that you shall receive.  Jesus taught that one should love his neighbor, those that are in your immediate universe.

The treasure of a person’s heart is a spiritual place, it is also where your altar of sacrifice resides.  The Lord requires clean and unblemished sacrifices. “He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. (Psalms 24:4-5)”.  “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (I Corinthians 2:14)”. The wicked doesn't  see you as you are and in many cases family members and individuals who knew you before your conversion.  They don’t see you spiritual disposition and spiritual growth.  You can be a giant in your relationship with YHWH  but because of the lack of discernment or jealousy they will not respect you but will respect a stranger or give respect in a  worldly perspective, when someone  is  wealthy or has a degree or is famous. What’s in the wicked heart is corrupt, maligned and impure, the thoughts and deeds.  Words are an expression of the heart, deeds are expressions of the heart. What you text and the avatar you present on social media are an expressions of the heart.  If it is doesn’t align with your true persona, it’s not what you want to be or hope to be, when you are supposed to be  naturally and fully mature then it’s deception.

Honor is value, a treasure, every soul is precious to thee Lord, it is he that has made us and not we ourselves.  All souls belong to Him, he is the lawgiver and the judge. You must have a true unbiased deliberate experience to see and know yourself.  The blind soul will see you as they perceive because their vision is corrupted by sin.  They only see what they want to perceive, the saying goes, if you are looking to find fault you will find it”.  “But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house. (Mark 6:4)” Because you don’t fit into their distorted image of someone or something prejudice prevails. Many think too highly of themselves because of material or societal dispositions, their station and occupation or financial situation which is judged by worldly standards.  Knowledge  and educational achievements causes a spirit of pride to be stored up in the heart and is exhibited through prejudice which is why the knowledge of YHWH should be treasured, that is the beginning of all things.

In the text Yeshua knew their hearts,  He knew when  they were sincere verse trying to trip him up.  The spirit of discernment doesn’t judge but it reveals the true nature of the intent of the heart.  The unjust thinks evil of persons but does not understand that what he thinks about a person is expressed by how he acts towards a person and not by what he says.   Words can lie , easily but the power of the Spirit can discern the truth.  A person who has faith in YHWH  doesn’t just quote the scripture but he lives by the scripture, the Word of YHWH.  Be careful not to be a hearer only. “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. (James 1:22)”. Those who hear only are why Yeshua exclaimed, “¶ And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?  (Luke 6:46)”. Spiritual purification cleanses the heart, repentance, fasting,, acts of obedience to the Word.  Sanctification bonds the heart and the Spirit of YHWH seals the heart so that no evil thing can enter in.  The word of YHWH is perfect , flawless, the only way corruption can enter in is if you let it in but YHWH has given us safeguards to protect your heart and soul.  Trust in the Lord with all  of your might and he will strengthen you because Yeshua has overcome all evil and because he lives  in you, you ae also an overcome.  Live for him and he will take care of the rest. He has already defeated your enemies, he has overcome your fears and faults, he has provided health wealth and a sound mind.  Just know that and rest in him.
