Generations

There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men. (Proverbs 30:11-14)

A generation could be a group of people, a subset of an ethnicity, town, city, state or religious group.  Yeshua called the religious group of his day “a generation of vipers”, “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. (Matthew 12:34)”, surely he wasn’t speaking of all peoples of the time or place. These leaders who were suppose to be representing and teaching the law of YHWH were presumptuous in their sins.  They were proud and arrogant not recognizing their hypocrisy and need for repentance.   There are many in this generation who have been deceived into thinking they are standing on the right side of the law and justice but have become an enigma in their fiery self righteousness violating the laws of their own country. The laws of morality and the Law of YHWH.  They accuse others of lawlessness and are acting out of hatred discrimination, jealousy and deception. The enemy has blinded their eyes and they cannot see their own sin. There is a subset in this generation that have become reprobate “Ichabod, Antichrist, standing for immorality and prejudice.

The Lord gently warns, just because you can do something doesn’t mean that it should be done. All things are not expedient.

Generations can sink into degradation and decadence as this one one has. This country, from it’s inception has been schizophrenic in nature. It has a dual personality. The religious on one side and and perpetrators of “the peculiar institution” on the other side” but many of the so-called religious were slave holders. They attempted to put forth a perception of morality  which in many cases were a false impression and some who did not have a true knowledge of YHWH (knowing Him), simply religious. If this truth hurts then you are guilty of the same. If you distort the truth or cover it up, you are guilty. There is no doubt that  down through the years there have been true Christians in America.   The words of Yeshua are true. “¶ Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matthew 7:13-14)”. The Lord always has a remnant.  There has been a steady decline of morality in America and we now see an outright show of immorality when people are not ashamed of their sin but when the people of YHWH cry out he raises them up. This is what happened to Israel after Joshua died.

¶ And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites: And they took their daughters to be their wives, and gave their daughters to their sons, and served their gods. And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and forgat the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves. ¶ Therefore the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he sold them into the hand of Chushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia: and the children of Israel served Chushan-rishathaim eight years. And when the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer to the children of Israel, who delivered them, even Othniel the son of Kenaz, Caleb’s younger brother. And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushan-rishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushan-rishathaim. (Judges 3:5-10)

The Lord has offered a covenant with man and it is cut with the Blood of Yeshua.  With any Blood covenant, the two sides must hold up their side of the agreement.  YHWH is almighty and cannot lie.  Man must repent from sin and maintain his faith in YHWH.  You cannot proclaim belief and think you will reap the promises of inheritance,  abundant and eternal life and still live a life of sin. The word of YHWH is true.  Only two souls made it to the promised land after the Exodus and wilderness experience, Joshua and Caleb even though they all experienced  many mighty wonders of YHWH.  A new generation entered in to the promised land and YHWHperformed miraculous deeds for them, land for which they did not have to labor, towns they did not have to build, vineyards and olive groves which they did not have to plant but they fell into error also. They fell into idolatry and lasciviousness wanting to be like the peoples around them and brought condemnation onto themselves.  The Lord tells us, “be not conformed to the world”  in all aspects of your life. “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:2)”. He has carved a pathway of righteousness for us and Yeshua is the foundation.  We are not to stray to the left or the right.  It is a highway of holiness.  The world is headed for destruction and we are not to follow them on that path.  

If you are saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, you are in the promised land but like the Israelite you have work to do to prove what is good and acceptable to the Lord.  Rooting out the work of the enemy in around your universe.  Pulling down strongholds and repairing the breeches.  He made you “more than a conquerer” and gave you power over the power of the enemy. Know that you have victory and that you can do all things in Yeshua Ha-Mashiach“The Anointed One” who has anointed you and set you in a high place.

Serve the Lord in sincerity integrity and truth (entirely and with stability).  

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. (Job 1:1) My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold:  (Numbers 12:7-8a)
