Will Yeshua find Faith when he returns?
When asked what is Faith, I suspect most Christians would quote Hebrews 11:1 which tells us that Faith is substance and Faith is evidence to denote that it is a tangible thing almost so that it can be touched but in fact it touches the life of the true believer. When we read further into the the 11th chapter of Hebrews we learn that by Faith things are done and things are obtained. Yeshua said that mountains can be moved, demons can be cast out, you can be healed and it only takes a mustard seed worth to obtain theses things. The mustard seed, as any other seed needs to be planted and cultivated properly to grow into a tree. It does not grow over night and it grows undetectable to the natural eye. Faith must be cultivated. Yeshua explained to the Apostles that Faith can be increased by fasting and praying. How often do you fast and how often and how intense and intimate and mature is your conversation with the Father? Another tool of cultivation is hearing the word of YHWH. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17).
When we read 1 Corinthians 12:9 we find that Faith is a gift of the Holy Spirit. “To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; (I Corinthians 12:9)”. Then, in Galatians 5:22 we read that Faith is of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, (Galatians 5:22)”. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are powers and tools to be used for ministry. The fruit of the Holy Spirit are attributes of YHWH that we grow into. So Faith is power (ability to do work) and Faith is part of our maturation process in Yeshua, our Faith must increase and if not we are not growing to become mature Christians.
Faith is a catalyst for ministry. It unctions you to obey the commandment of Christ, to occupy till he comes, to do the work of an Evangelist and to win souls to him. Because we are called by YHWH to this ministry of reconciliation. We encounter trials persecution and sufferings in the flesh but the reward of obedience is greater than the troubles of the flesh. Growing in Faith means growing in your own personal service to the Lord. Yeshua expects to find the faithful doing work for the kingdom. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? (Luke 18:6-8)
James the 2nd chapter the 14th through the 26th verse sums it up. Faith and works out of obedience to the Word of YHWH. You can have this substance and cultivate it, work on it, desire it, expect more of it and use it in the name of Yeshua to the Glory of YHWH.
