A Spiritual message for the Moment

There is something that every person in America must recognize and that is that there are inordinate events occurring around the world presently.  The fact that there is nothing new under the sun should stimulate your understanding of the nature of these things.  We can check down the list of things that were prophetically revealed by the prophets of old. The demagogues, the catastrophes, the hatred and the wars. These things are not new but they are occurring in greater magnitude. Be not deceived, the wicked one operates in pure deception. That is his chiefest weapon, the art of deception.  Pulling a cloak over the eyes of men so that they cannot see and cannot operate in truth which is reality.  The Holy Scripture tells us  in  “ (II Corinthians 11:14) And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.” Calling evil good and good evil, lying and calling it truth, operating in error causing chaos and blowing it off as if it’s not happening, boldface and continually.  Scandal by scandal, mistake by mistake.  We must pray that it doesn’t get out of hand.  These days a small mistake can cause global meltdown.  A push of a button can cause global catastrophe.  Each person is responsible for not being deceived by childish wisdom and acts of anarchy.   It is one thing to be tripped by the wiles of the devil but it’s embarrassing and shameful to be duped by childish logic of men and women who are deceived and deceiving themselves. Legends and leaders in their own minds.

This is happening in all areas of society including  government, business, education  and religion. Wherever  there is a hierarchical structure of leadership there is especially an opportunity for spiritual corruption. People lust for position and infuse it with a lust for power at the least.  Remember that the evil one is the prince of the power of the air and wherever there is principality (authority and leadership) he is in charge with the exception of true born again believers who are led by the Holy Spirit of YHWH.

The founding fathers of this nation battled for and built into the government checks and balances to guard against tyranny and authoritarianism. The fuel for the engine of freedom was the fight against these evils and I believe they knew that there are some things that you cannot legislate or dictate, some things like integrity and purity must be woven into the souls of men and women to maintain  higher moral ideas.  I believe that they knew, born into the age of enlightenment and philosophy that the foundation they built was laid with rock and sand, with the greatest intentions of mind and spirit but by men of limited and varied strengths. That only through the help of YHWH will it stand.  The faith and the prayers of many sustains it and by the prayers and the preaching of the faithful will it continue to stand. Every now and then the foundation of this nation gets weakened by the watered down actions of the ill-prepared and the unfaithful.  Leadership is an  endeavor that requires integrity and it is to be held and accompanied by servitude, which is the fruit of humility.  When the opposite of that happens you can be assured that the foundation will shake.

In America we have been hearing about the shadow of what is supposed to be an impossibility of this Republic, authoritarianism.   Because the legislative branch of the government has lost it’s way off of the road of compromise, the left moving more left and the right moving more to the right they have opened the door for a pseudo autocrat. Partisanism has almost birthed authoritarianism.  Leadership without morality, taxation without true representation is also the fruit of partisanism.    Because the legislative branch has not been able to agree on anything that  supports the people, the autocrat steps in and promises he can but the nature of the autocrat is self serving and is propelled by a spirit of corruption.

It is absurd to me that a Judge can be considered a liberal or a conservative.  For a Judge of this land to have such a moniker is hypocritical of the role of judge. I understand that man’s law is imperfect and must be  interpreted to fit into the nuances of the present society and that a person’s interpretations can lean strictly to the rule or less strict but to be deemed left or right in every decision or in a way of adjudicating a matter is an oxymoron, no disrespect or semi pun intended. This means that you are prejudiced before even hearing the matter. The fuel for burning down a democracy is a populist autocrat, a deadlocked impotent legislative body and a double sided prejudiced judiciary. These ills certainly don’t fall on every person of these offices but a little leaven leavens the whole lump.

The true believers have checks and balances against the corruption in the earth.  Against the works of the flesh and carnal mind.  Prayer . We are exhorted to pray for the world. Pray for the people who hold leadership positions. "(I Timothy 2:1-2) I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty." We are not to underestimate the power and responsibility of this ministry.  The desire of YHWH is for all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.  If you are born of the Holy Spirit you have peace that comes from YHWH. OP (original Peace), an earnest of what is from and in the Kingdom of YHWH along with all of the other benefits.  It is our duty to press forward, preach the Gospel, baptize, heal, raise the dead and pray. YHWH will provide our provisions in abundance. In “ (II Chronicles 7:12-14) And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  letting the Israelite know that he was their provider and their duty was to walk in the earth in obedience to his law and their peace would be satisfied balancing the scales of nature and man according to his desire. This is what he is saying in   I Timothy 2:1-2 to us.  If you exercise the power of prayer and walk upright before him, walk in the Spirit, he will heal the land.
