The way of life

¶ And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. (Matthew 19:16-22)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

Yeshua is the way to YHWH.  He is the way of abundant and eternal Life, the way of Peace and the way of Love. The way is of peace truth love the knowledge of YHWH and prosperity. Some people want to be followed, some people want to lead, there is a blurred distinction between the two and generally  they are the same.  The lust to be “out in front” is what Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. called “the drum major instinct”. There is nothing wrong with desiring to be in leadership as long as you are called and qualified to do it.   This type of drum major does not really have a purpose, he may have flashy words and is charismatic but lack the ability to exercise a meaningful purpose.  He may be there as simply entertainment.  A true drum major’s responsibility is to conduct rehearsals, lead performances and maintain discipline.  Yeshua wants us to closely follow him back to paradise. He wants us to succeed.  We like sheep must keep our eyes fixed on the Great Shepard and he will graciously and unselfishly lead us to the promised paradise.   

The Holy Spirit leads the way.

The one thing that we must understand is that when we accept the Salvation that was given to us by the finished work of Ha Mashiach that we have become travelers in the earth as the scriptures describes us as sojourners in this world and we are on a pathway to a new home and then some.  The enemy tries to cause you to divert your path by disrupting your peace.  He uses the same tactics that he always does but if you keep your mind stayed on the Lord, that is having a tight grip on following Faith, a focus on your place in Yeshua and yield to the Holy Spirit, letting him direct your path,  you will not be beset from the way.  It’s easy to have peace when you are on your own but in tn the world the enemy tries to disrupt that peace  by using people filled with evil spirits but the Lord has given us the tools and weapons we need not only to defend ourselves but to put the enemy to flight. Submit yourselves therefore to God.  “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)”,  don’t get out of the way of YHWH by standing on his ground, fighting with his weapons, stand in the Holy place and the Holy Spirit will lift up the standard (go to war) and show you how to resist. Resisting is an offensive tactic and not a defensive tactic. If your peace is challenged when you are alone, in the quiet of the night, if you can’t praise and worship the Lord as you have been gifted to do, the the the way to victory is the same, the “Sword of the Spirit” is the Word of YHWH and YHWH is Almighty which is power over all of the attacks of the enemy. Paul puts it this way  “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. (Philippians 4:8-9)”. Yeshua gave us his Peace, don’t let the enemy make you think you don’t have peace, it is part of your Spiritual DNA. The Holy Spirit teaches the way of love, you are equipped for the journey.

You will have continual peace of mind and victory on all legs of your journey.  There are trials and tribulations on the journey but if you are in the way that  YHWH has prescribed on the right road, the doors of opportunity for success will be open to you.  You will be protected from the storms of life, you are provided for, he is your defender and avenger.  Let patience have it’s perfect work, it all does not come overnight but it is step by step, precept by precept according to his word. Consider Abraham, the father of Faith.  He started a journey from his homeland to the promised land in obedience to YHWH and YHWH is fulfilling his promises. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. (Psalms 1:3)

¶ And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it. For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? (Luke 9:23-25)

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. (I Corinthians 11:1)
