To change is difficult - Transformation is the beautiful work of YHWH
Scripture reference:
¶ And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh. Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob’s thigh in the sinew that shrank. (Genesis 32:24-32)
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (Romans 12:1-2)
Change is a hard thing to do but YHWH desires all men to be changed from sinner to Saint. Once you have heard the truth you must bend towards changing to the straight and narrow, let go and let YHWH transform you. The truth is the light and when open up to it the light will shine and you will see the beautiful things that the darkness cannot has covered up.

YHWH had a purpose and a covenant to fulfill with and through Jacob. His purpose was to build a nation and he made covenant with Abraham the grandfather of Jacob that he would build it through his son Issac, Jacob’s father. YHWH chose Jacob, told him to return to the land of his fathers’ and that he would be with him but Jacob had some baggage that he left behind. Up to the time that he wrestled with the messenger of YHWH, Jacob was a trickster, a heal catcher. He feared that his brother would retaliate because he stole his birthright. He needed to be reminded that his name was changed to Israel and now he possessed power with YHWH. YHWH is faithful to his promise.
Don’t bring your old baggage into this new life in Yeshua. By holding on to the baggage of the past you stunt your growth. The negativity is equivalent to bad seed or weeds clouding out the new light, choking out the new thought and the new vision. It must be cut out at the root or it will continue to spring up and affect you and those around you. Once you believe the word, repent, obey the word and because of true repentance, turning from sin to the light of YHWH he will fill you with the precious gift of the Ruach HaKodesh. You must learn that all of your sins of the past are forgiven. Years of synapses have been built in your brain, learned behavior that is difficult for a person to see in himself. Even of religion and denomination. It is because the enemy places a stronghold, a fortress of thought and experience that is in opposition to the will of YHWH. Years of traditions and practices have been built that were done in ignorance, by the pretense of deceivers that crept into the church or things that men thought were good practices but not according to the precepts of YHWH. One of the hardest things for people to recognize is their own faults and errors, denominations and cults included. Sometimes it involves pride. It’s like trying to look at the back of your own head which is difficult to do even using a mirror. The biggest tell is when a person is told of their fault or faults, they immediately point at the person who has site of them pointing accusation in return. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin. He that hateth me hateth my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. (John 15:22-24). This is why we must examine ourselves without bias. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. (II Corinthians 13:5a).
All of the hurts of the past are healed and you must move on into the promises of YHWH. This is also difficult for some because life can be hard but there is nothing hard or impossible for YHWH. Horrid memories can be painful but those of the past have expired. Remember , you must earnestly change and YHWH does the transforming, you cannot do it on your own. It was YHWH that made us and we not ourselves. He made us and he can fix us. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14) YHWH had done the work for Jacob again, Jacob did not have to wrestle with the messenger, he did not have to attempt to soften up his brother to appease him, YHWH had already touched his heart, he had already made the promise. Jacob only needed to keep his end of the bargain. We need to learn the ways of YHWH. We spend years of our lives doing and thinking in a carnal way and that makes it difficult to see, think and operate in the spirit if we don’t let go and trust YHWH. We must understand that Yeshua did the work for us by being an example and a propitiation for us. He showed us how to live constantly under the hand of the almighty, to be led by the Ruach HaKodesh and he appeased the anger of YHWH by being the sinless blood sacrifice that was required. Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; (Romans 3:25) And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. (Hebrews 9:22). Therefore a supernatural change occurs, a spiritual transformation or metamorphosis. The caterpillar becomes a butterfly. The sinner becomes a saint. The carnal minded becomes spiritual minded. We become aware of the spiritual forces around us and we affect the world by becoming a producer of good fruit instead of being a consumer of sin. We walk in the Spirit and not after the flesh. Now children of light and not children of the night. The light closed the door to the bias that evolves through experiences and attachments to teachers who have poured in wrong thoughts and precepts. Yeshua is the way the truth and the light, when we follow him,he leads us to new a life of eternal bliss in the presence of the Almighty Most High YHWH.
